Practice a Technique

Did you know practicing techniques during calm moments allows the nervous systems to become familiar with the experience before the technique is needed during a difficult one. This makes practice more than preparation—it becomes a proactive, preventive measure.  Your Growth Garden™ is a great space to start to practices techniques while you learn to explore your feelings safely together.

With the Parallel Journey™ as the guiding principle and the Satori Shift™ as the 5-step method to process feelings children and grown-ups can explore co-regulation, emotional-awareness, mindfulness, or communication technique together.

The goal is not to master a technique or make every feeling disappear. It is to build familiarity, strengthen connection, and discover which forms of support feel helpful to both the child and grown-up.

Each article has a feel technique for you to try with an explanation of how to use it effectively.
